Yorkley, GLOS

Sold, Subject to Contract

September 2005

The property has now sold, with completion due on the 16th. This has been an interesting project and we've learnt a lot from it.

Certainly the house is in a much better condition than it was when we bought it, and it is satisfying to see the results of our labours.

Ready for the Market

May 2005

With its new kitchen, restyled bathroom, new stone and timber fireplace and utility room downstairs, and light and airy bedrooms upstairs, the house now presents a very attractive interior.

A new paint job on the outside has brightened up the view from the street as well.

Not visible in the picture is the new concrete path to the front door and around the side of the house to the deck at the back.

The View from the Bedrooms

May 2005

Two bedrooms have this stunning view out towards the Cotswald Escarpment and River Severn.

You'd also have this view from the deck and kitchen.

The Restyled Bathroom

Kitchens and Bathrooms

May 2005

Although they're relatively small rooms, the new kitchen and restyled bathroom make a world of difference to the house. There's a tiled floor running throughout the kitchen and bathroom area and on, into the utility room.

The bathroom has been re-arranged. We've put new tiles from bath to ceiling, and installed a new shower and taps. We were able to keep the original steel bath and bring it back to good condition with polish and lots of elbow grease!

The bathroom will also now be kept nice and warm in winter with both a new radiator and heated towel rail.

Works Update

March 2005

While the team plaster and paint the walls, we are tweaking the new kitchen design. The electrician and heating engineer have both started working on site as well. The bathroom has been redesigned, and we have allocated a new space with suitable plumbing for a washing machine.

Work Begins

March 2005

Our team moved into the property today, and is busy clearing the place out and removing wallpaper. As soon as that is done, the walls can be plastered and painted. In the meanwhile, we are thinking about how best to redesign the bathroom and kitchen.
